The Region:

The Karpasia Region is settled to the North East of the island and is referred to by locals as the 'Panhandle', or Karpaz Peninsula. Karpaz covers a substantial part of the island approximately 80 kilometers in length and 20 in width. Much of the Karpaz is protected land making this one of the most unspoiled lands in the Meditteranean and lies just as mother nature intended with subterranean water reservoirs, so crops including fruit, olives, and tobacco are grown in abundance as well as natural deserted golden sandy beaches and home to a number of beautiful animals such as wild donkeys, turtles and even flamingos that stop by in the spring season during their migration. As well as being famous for her natural beauty the Karpaz region also holds one of the most popular classy and elegant places to visit; the Karpaz Gate Marina, which berths over 320 yachts including 65 meters superyachts. Here you can spend a spectacular replenishing day at the beach, or gain your glow by the pool with a cocktail and end the day with a fabulous meal from the restaurant.
